I went to the AGP in chicago over the weekend because that's were I was going to meet my friend. We are both 21 and both love AG! She has never been to the AGP...So my Mom went with us too and the first thing I see is Elizabeth and I take the box from the shelf and look at her. And my friend was like, "are you going to get her?" And I said, "Oh, I wish! I don't have the money, though" and then my Mom was like, "Is that what you want for Christmas?" and I looked at her...shocked...and I just nodded my head. and she said, "Ok, we'll get her then! And you want that Irish Dance outfit too, right?" And I was like Sweet!! My friend and I are both Irish Dancers and we just LOVE that outfit. I was really shocked that my Mom bought me a doll out of the blue like that. I haven't gotten a doll in 5 years (I have 8-not including Elizabeth)! I am so incredibly happy! I cannot WAIT til Christmas! :-) I feel like such a little kid, but I just love AG and I want to continue on collecting them for a long time!
In the future when I'm married, I hope to have a girl so I can give her AG dolls too! That would be so much fun! :-)

What a wonderful weekend you had and you have quite a great Christmas gift waiting for you. That is really nice of your mom and I'm sure she enjoys your dolls too.

Wow, you've got quite a mom there! Honestly, though, I'm more jealous that you have a friend to go to AGP with. I'm 21 too, but alas, my younger sisters still think they're too old for AG (ha!) and I have no other doll friends (other than you all, and you all live too far away!!!). Guess I'm dragging the boyfriend to AGPLA when it opens...
Congrats on Elizabeth!

It's going to be a long couple of months. Did you get to pick her out? What a great mom! Congratulations.

I'll bet your Mom was also thrilled that you wanted a doll.
For many parents, it's sad for us when a child 'outgrows' certain stages of childhood, (toys being a BIG part of it.) And it's comforting to see that you still enjoy AG dolls.
I sometimes wonder if my soon to be 11 year-old is losing interest, then I'm reassured when (such as I tonight) I see her brushing one of her AG doll's hair.
Christmas should be great fun this year for all of you!
